Once In a Heated Moment I Recall

Once In A Heated Moment I Recall Once in a heated moment I recall Crying out in red-hot anger, " Damn you, I hate you with my all And shall now consider you a stranger." O' how I recall her words in return She screaming back with true regret, " Damn you, now both bridges you burn I am a gal that will not forget." Many decades have flown forth and away time healed and hurt was diminished. O' how I regret that dark day, my words, how sadly our romance finished. Once, just once in a dark, horrific dream. Love died, sincerest prayers can not redeem. R. J. Hi Robert, your sonnet is amazingly beautiful and beautifully relatable and that's what I think makes this poem so special! I so enjoyed reading your poem this evening! Thank you for sharing your talent :)

Indeed, as Dean says below, you have put a lot of effort into this write. The sentiment you express is so very true. A thoughtless, harsh word said in haste cannot be retracted - it remains forever in both peoples memory...Thank you my friend Robert for reminding us...Maria PS - this has to be a Fave.

Wow, a very technical write Robert. You have put a lot of effort into this sonnet. Well done. A regrettable sentiment expressed very well!

It's part of being young; how else would we really learn? Well penned.
