On Wings of Freedom

"on wings of freedom"

on wings of freedom ride with me once more
we'll travel under the sun and light
we'll breathe clean fresh air
more than this together we'll be

to make one understand is fully difficult
for until I'm seen I will never be known
known to us both as a soul of freedom
a strength of power and gentle as a child

brush me saddle me and get me prepared
unity of horse and rider nothing compares

The line I liked best was “a strength of power and gentle as a child.” Like that, so much. Horses are awesome. I saw many when I was on vacation in Arizona. Gorgeous animals. FAV poem.
