On Unrequited Friendships
Friendships are a lot like flowers, typically appreciative
of outside intervention - on which both will tend to thrive -
Yet many will betray themselves, neglecting those who love them,
withholding what is needed from the ones whom they deprive,
And one day come to realize that - unrequited friendships -
like the flower - undernourished…seldom will survive.
