On the Black Carpet
Above my head are stars that often blink
Light is like feathers on the black carpet
All of this delight shown for what we think
White specks of brilliance are from stars that sit
Humble light flows from the sky that emits
Its awe inspiring white glory that shows
Light is a marksman on my face that knows
Of its wondrous music it sends to me
No birds block the light, not even the crows
The great brazen white light lives so simply
