On Mushroom Hill, the Woodcutter

ON MUSHROOM HILL (THE WOODCUTTER) Everyone is so happy, up there on Mushroom Hill A place of peace and tranquility, and full of cheer The woodcutter goes about as mastering his skill Building a summer house for all the children dear A place of peace and tranquility, and full of cheer As deer foals, do gather watching the woodcutter Building a summer house for all the children dear As in the air around him, the butterflies do flutter As deer foals, do gather watching the woodcutter Squirrels; stop their nut hunting, to watch his art As in the air around him, the butterflies do flutter Field mice collect wood shavings, in-out they dart Squirrels, stop their nut hunting, to watch his art Lambs skipping, as the woodcutter goes his work Field mice collect wood shavings, in-out they dart Up yonder, you hear the sullen bells from the kirk Lambs skipping, as the woodcutter goes his work As the bird's chirp and whistle to a job, well done Up yonder, you hear the sullen bells from the kirk With blessings given by the warm rays of the sun As the bird's chirp and whistle to a job well done The woodcutter goes about as mastering his skill With blessings given by the warm rays of the sun Everyone is so happy, up there on Mushroom Hill Indiana Shaw . . . : )
