On Halloween,
I recall the game of trick n treat;
when the sky created a scary scene,
on our tree lined street.
Why was that moon so huge and following me?
Oh, was that a big fat black cat smiling in an old tree?
And witches and ghosts and creatures ran with glee;
I was no longer so keen . . .
Want to go home,
'cause I am not good with bats;
and those spooky spiders that roam.
Eeek! I think I saw some rats!
So by the bright glow of that Halloween moon,
lighting my path- where blood red leaves were strewn;
I found home, although one time I did swoon;
when I tripped on a gnome . . .
