On Giving Gifts

Mom's and Pop's Days - graduation birthdays, weddings - overdone. One can't forget Christmas or Juneteenth's fret and fuss... Every day - a celebration. Bah hum bug! barks grinchy young guy; it's time to give presents, my eye! To shop is such hard work which I must choose to shirk. Will a gift card wish them "good buy"? Comes next the giftee's coup d'etat: Gratitude - not a big hurrah. A gift was expected gift cards are accepted But thank-you? not a rule of law. 12/25/23
