On Being the Real You
ON BEING THE REAL YOU
No matter what it takes.
Otherwise, your poetry is a pure fake!
I know baloney when I read it.
It's so mediocre, and has no "you" in it.
Hiding behind veils, you all know the ones you use.
I know the exact forms you choose..
A warm salute to all who show who they really are.
Writing for the pure joy of it, not here to get gold stars.
