Old Journal
Box of old note books,
Old journal writings;
Surprise takes a look,
Old thoughts mellowing.
These are lovely spheres,
Thoughts from days no more;
Poignant as old tears,
Sketches frame encore.
Flipping page by page,
Chance finds verse lyrics;
Mellow writes still stage,
Poetry hurls magic.
Journey journal chimes,
Glimpses of times past;
Here and there stray rhymes,
Echoes that outlast.
Browsing clear and good,
Going over stuff;
Feel pulse of old moods,
Time stops sure enough.
Just for this short while,
Old memories grip;
I feel myself smile,
Reflect on fleeting trips.
So quickly time flies,
Emerge from stray browse;
Put away old sighs,
Set time for new grouse.
