Oh Sister
I was never a favourite child
Maybe to my dad only, I thought he understood me better than anyone else
I was quiet, boring, antisocial, always in my room
Dreaming
So when the favoured child arrived, its like I knew my place
She was more beautiful, lovable, fun, talkative, had lots of friends
She had what I dint have
What everybody else loved.
Distance and children had cured the sibling rivalry we always had
Yet we are two girls of same mother
Yet most of my memories are the fights
The twenties brought us closer, far but in love
I don't know what our thirties will bring
I fear of what will happen when her life gets better and better,
That she will get an armour ready to fight a sister, just because she has always won.
