Oh God Where Would I Go and What Would I Do Without You
Oh! God where would I go and what would I do without you?
Nowhere at all! Nowhere at all!
I would be drowning into the deepest sea
of misery. Lonely and lost as I could possibly be.
Drifting far away from the safety of your shore.
Losing sight of your lighthouse's light.
All alone late and night. Crying out in pain.
Calling out your name. But you do not seem
to hear my desperate pleas for your tender
loving mercies.
Oh! God where would I go and what would I do without you?
I need you in my life. Your free gift of everlasting
life. Do not revoke my future pardons. Due
to my habitual life of sin. Turning it all
over to you. I have not lost my
everlasting life!
But to feel your redeeming love and matchless
grace. Not becoming part of the lost souls
of the unredeemed human race. When
your roll is called up yonder. I want
to be there. I am tired of life's
vanity fair. This world is not
my everlasting home.
I will faithfully try to remain close to your
side. And not look outside the box
of my Christian faith. Being
saved by your redeeming grace. Redeemed
by your shed blood. Your child now
and forever more I am.
Love in Christ Jesus!
