Oh, Forever Grief
Oh, tears that never cease to fall,
oh, grief that never ever ends
the beloved though dead- return,
into each moment of my life.
Memories veiled in sadness always,
at their tombs I stand and weep;
I whisper with the dead- a captive,
I look for comfort in the past.
Oh, time turn back, turn back time,
oh, years- flow back, flow back;
make me an innocent child again,
for I am so weary of the weeping.
Oh, fathomless are my flowing tears;
oh, endless is my forever grief.
