Oh Deer
I crawl through the underbrush.
Swiping branches from my eyes.
Not knowing what I will find.
Deer poses for me.
Why do people choose to kill?
This I do not understand.
I am left so very sad.
As I question why
My camera held in my hand.
Capturing moment in time.
Eyes so innocence stare back.
This image preserved
The sound of camera clicking
Branch snaps beneath startled hoof
Ears twich breath blows through warm nose
Quick graceful retreat.
