Oh, Beautiful Nature
Has solitude ever led your steps down a green
hued forest path to linger in tranquility
The birds are singing a sweet symphony for me
from the tangled trees that sway in a Fall breeze
the forest pauses as it begins to let go of leaves
some are twirling and spinning dressed in yellow
I linger beside a rippling stream resting on a rock
above me the sky is bright blue as clouds sail by
in the stream fish glide past in the cold water
I close my eyes to listen to the song of the forest
Soon, the leaves repose
to lay in their death decay
until snowflakes are falling
filigree on trees
falling, falling falling white ~
footprints in new fallen snow
