all this bull*****life has an antidote & it’s really quite simple--- you don’t need to make good with the guy/gal that most recently wronged you (people come, people go = fact of life) don’t got to make good with your parents if they have never tried to do the same for you (spare the drama & spoil the heartache) don’t got ta make a new friend to fill some void you conjured up in your head (we’re always more likeable than we know) & you don’t got to go & buy a million things to show the world you have property & (mo’ money, mo’ problems) you don’t need spend an eternity worrying about what happens after death (the most peaceful moment in your life is when it all ends = absence of strife) & ya got no time to labor over whose government is in the right on what day or whose religion made a good point about something (they’re all bull*****& they’ll all fade away with time + effort), no, all ya need is laughter (lennon told us it was love, but you know, it was the late 60’s so we can forgive him)--- for it is laughter in the face of the worst possible events that will get us through laughter together with others can bring a room full of people from depression to a feeling of hope as defined by the moment--- laughter & laughter alone can cure our ailments--- it can make us live longer & bring a smile to our faces when there seems to be absolutely no reason for such a reaction.
