Of Meager Means

I’m not much of a romantic man, I work my modest piece of land with leather glove covered weathered hands My upbringing was of meager means, but I labored very diligently And with God’s blessed help, I made a budding something out of nothing Truthfully, I confess ... I ain’t that much of a fanciful hearted man; don’t spend much time with idle eyes, having fairytale thoughts wishing dreamily Love’s affliction has not yet struck me But that’s not entirely true, not since I met you I now think quite often of us two The most romantic idea I can think of, is a courtship picnic after church Tablecloth spread in a meadow, under a shady oak tree Just you and me Maybe ask for a kiss ... for good luck, hoping of what might one day be Sweet companionship in marriage perhaps, we shall see Only time will tell But this much I have gleaned, from what I’ve come to know about you, please take no offense at my rough-edged honesty You are a woman with a frontier soul: self-reliant and capable No feminine timidity do you possess Your needs are few, your thoughts no man own I would be honored to give to you my heart and home My offer stands, for as long as you wish to grace me with your alluring presence I am a man, who come from meager means, but God has enlarged me so, that I can now fill my heart with romantic musings

I can't figure out if this isa date site intro or something written on a bathroom door at a 4h show. Ironic that there's find your matches ad right next to your write. I enjoyed the read and respect your humility and honesty and I only hope that still matters.

Freddie, these days, if you ain't got no money, you don't get the honey. IMO women are more interested in money than all else. Second concern is gettin her swerve on. You seem to be more from my time period, when women wanted men with character and integrity. Enjoyed the read:)

This was nicely expressed Freddie. It is funny how we maybe don't see ourselves in a romantic light but when that special someone walks into our life we can't help but glow.
