Of Birds and Babies
A tiny bird is as a tiny child
Both born into a world both new and wild
Their mothers protect them, both are kept warm
Each seeing their offspring sheltered from harm.
But then come the trials of staying alive
How will they face danger, will they survive?
This is when tools will be formed in their mind
The same in Nature, as is in Mankind.
Will they rise to each challenge with resolve?
Or fall in defeat, unable to solve
The lessons well learned, they can learn to win.
Born to innocence, the path will begin.
First, they learn how to stand, then they take wing
That’s how each one born to joy learns to sing.
