Ode to the Pool
O the pool, the pool,
A really cool treasure,
A hole filled with water
Just for your pleasure,
For a slippery dive,
Or a pool-bottom glide,
A splash and a kick,
Or a race -
Dolphin-quick.
When you get boiling hot
And start to frizzle,
The pool is much wetter
Than a sprinkler’s drizzle,
So, let’s go to the pool
For the whole afternoon,
And on the way home we can have
Chips!
