Ode to my Eternal Valentine
Written for my monochrome dove:
I want to love you all of you,
To trace every scar on your skin,
Caress them beneath my fingertips,
And kiss all your pain.
I want to love you wholly,
At your best and most ugly,
Till every star falls out of the velvet sky ... and even after then,
I’d find my way back to you.
I want to submerge in the melancholic hues of your poetry,
And when we leave this place through Purgatory’s phantasmagoria haze,
My love for you will still remain,
For would choose you over and over again.
