Ode to My Broken Heart
I could never have loved anyone, yet
the way I loved you and yet
through time in a day a week months at bay
I gave you my heart this I did
you promised it was forever yet
You said goodbye
You left me in the lonely building as I cried
Ode to My Broken Heart
but our pulse was just a mirage
there was only the dark night days turned dark
We thought always meant only an instant
Maybe one day...
We’ll love again in the light
You’d say hello
You left me in my loneliness as I sighed
