Ode To a Memory
last wafts linger ~ a letter tucked away
a kiss, lush ruby red
cotton weave impressed
a calligraphy of infinity
auburn streaks brush
an ivory tone, attuned
a silken touch, to feel
thumps turn to melt
fingers bare in fear
pare parched, precious air
mists dew, a chestnut hue
midnight drifting clear
memory, her, standing near
thoughts written, clearly meant
lost connections, never sent
