Ocean Revives Me
Tiny frothy bubbles barely move on ocean’s morning blanket.
I am standing at the edge, debating about putting my toes in.
There is a fresh, joyful feeling surrounding the beach today.
Perhaps it is because no one else is here yet; I love that.
The waves call my name. They are reflecting my emotions.
We are happy here, the ocean and I. All powerful, mighty.
Both self-confident and unafraid. There is no room for anger.
I wish my partner understood the peace of the sea; I truly do.
Being out here, on this day, listening to the echo of the ocean,
I am more alive than I have ever been, and possibly will ever be.
Her refreshing water uplifts me, delights me, excites me, and inspires me.
My heart opens up as she takes me into her confidence.
We are twin souls, the sea and I. I sit down and begin to write.
Two other beach lovers stroll by. They say “hi”. We know each other not.
However, I know they are probably as amazed as I am
By this glorious gift, the waterway to other continents.
