Now and Then
NOW and THEN
That was then, when I owned my sweet home
nurturing caring rearing up my children.
Seeds of love were sown to sprout.
Tender leaves of affection brought them a peaceful haven.
I was the light of their childhood.
I was the idol, philosopher and guide.
Frolic and fun flooded my yard
Watching them growing up was the greatest bliss of my life.
This is now, when they lead their own lives.
They don't need me more.
I am far away.
They have left their childhood in the core of my heart.
I am preserving the trove of treasure of memories.
This is my peerless pleasure though meaningless to them.
My nostalgia only haunting me.
Too tired to pacify and strengthening self.
My sweet home has turned a morose house,
Yet they are my success.
