Now
Everything you’ve loved before
Disappears like those wings of yours.
The feathers you always believed helped you soar,
Fall away through a cloud which pours.
Everyone you thought you knew,
Move on ‘cause they’ve all long replaced you.
Not even memories matter, for they’re nothing new,
Slowly truth seeps into your wounds so blue.
Everything and everyone you’ve loved before,
Betray you like dreams, with how they all come and go.
Those angels you thought helped you soar,
Show their true natures you hoped you’d never know.
Everything you ever have been, and still are,
Simply as bright and glowing like
A shooting star that has come so far.
You see, all of that, was how you became who you are now.
