November

when fall has cast it's spell and leaves begin to fall November's chill sets the tone friends gather to share bonfires and toasted smores and stories from the year flames dance throughout the night by morning the smell of drifting smoke fills the air and lingers on your clothes chairs left empty in the yard only to be filled by floating leaves that didn't make it to the ground as November's chill sets the tone I put my sandals in the closet and grab my trusty boots as i walk off the back deck the grass is crisp beneath my feet I'll enjoy my morning coffee sitting around the firepit watching the leaves take over the yard glad it isn't snow!
