As the sun sets and light departs, dusk bruises the sky black and blue. And like a billion bleeding hearts, the sun adopts a scarlet hue. Infidelity's surreal, devastating my heart mid-beat. And although your love wasn't real, leaving you wasn't an easy feat. Wounded feelings fester within as the sun abandons the sky. Yet tomorrow cannot begin with the words of a whispered lie. Filling my heart with fear and dread, depression and anger compete. And reflecting on what was said, I'm frustrated by your deceit. I do not know why we didn't last, and I question my heart for clues. My trust was betrayed in the past, and now, I've nothing more to lose.

You tell a sad tale in this work. An all too common occurrence. Nice photo, too. Peace & Blessings Matthew Anish
