That question never left his eyes.... Uncertainty Too many twisted lies..... Anxiety Foreboding... Dread Nothing left to be said He stood muted in his room, and never fathomed Why the rage raged through his little frame But why no word would leave his lips No one sensed but him, without comprehension That pain and finality washed over him And he kneeled clutching the one solace left His bear That question never left his eyes.... Uncertainty Too many twisted lies..... Anxiety Foreboding... Dread Nothing left to be said The man took him by the hand, past them Their remorseful posture bypassed his pleading eyes No words were uttered, and behind them In a flash of dark-haired fury The girl was held back, hollered for him to turn But he couldn't That question never left his eyes.... Uncertainty Too many twisted lies..... Anxiety Foreboding... Dread Nothing left to be said He closed his eyes and complied, withdrew Succumbed crushed to an eternal blackness He did not look back, blocked the frantic sobs Behind him, realized it was the past now Recognized no one would come to save him From now on That question never left his eyes.... Uncertainty Too many twisted lies..... Anxiety Foreboding... Dread Nothing left to be said *** February 5, 2017

Darren this is a very powerful poem that brings us to a sad reality from a child's point of view and so heart wrenching. It should not have happened. It should never happen. You are so strong and brave my friend. <3

A dramatic rendering indeed. Not sure about its context. Is this about a child (the bear)? a divorce? Questioning... John

You're right. I went straight to the poem and didn't even notice the picture. JH

I am not used to explain because I like to keep it ambiguous, I think the picture gives you a clue :)
