Nothing Comes Close
Through all of life's trials
it moves relentless forward
Waiting for no one
in a glorious marching rhythm
The joy and happiness we feel
far exceeds a few minor glitches
All part of our travels through time
Absolutely nothing compares
to falling in love and the results
of that love to hold this tiny creature
in your hands...
smelling that oh so sweet newborn aroma
Unmatched in this world since time began
No human experience
comes even close to this ecstasy
Nature and it's beauty are evident
as we survey the earth around us
How could we not be overwhelmed
feeling so very fortunate
to have felt such love
in this happy and joyous life
Surely one of the fortunate ones
and a very appreciative soul
If I had the power, I would wish
my good fortune on all
the loving souls I meet and as well
all of the earth's creatures
As a lasting thought
my ultimate wish is for all mankind
to live in true harmony forever...
then I may truly rest in peace!
