Nothing Changes

It's the calm after the storm But I had my eyes closed And was whistling a tune So once again I can't quite recount exactly what happened Whilst I was dreaming I imagined alternate worlds Remarkably similar to my own But I made choices More freely I stand on the shore Wondering when to set sail But I'm not a mariner These seas are uncharted I'd fail today, so I'll wait I'm not scared of storms Nor sailing I fear drifting aimlessly Perhaps landing on the same shores Having used all my strength

Sometimes there's a paper thin wall between the worlds we inhabit...what a blessing to have the power of imagination to look through windows, stand on shores, feel the call from elsewhere. For me, yr poem captures this mood beautifully.

Imagination might not be cutting it Paul unfortunately. I suppose what we can imagine we can become - and again we have a problem... I appreciate you taking the time encourage, thanks for your kind comment
