Not the Better Nature of Our Angels

BULLETS mercilessly fly BOMBS pitilessly fall MISSILES ruthlessly soar
shattering their helpless "targets" a screaming bloody blur of sadistic slaughter innocent bodies blown apart by psychopathic projectiles death's desolation hovers over us in these dystopian days judge, jury & executioners prey on their innocent victims who simply dare to be in the wrong place at the wrong time
The Better Nature of our Angels? (what on earth is Steven Pinker smoking??)

Thanks for reading my poem & your comment. Yes, we have to ask why people are acting so crazy. The final stanza is a reference to Steven Pinker's "The Better Nature of our Angels" which argues that the human race is becoming less violent over time.
