Not Alone

No alone. From my flat, I stood by the window facing the street a man was walking into the local supermarket and told his shadow to stay behind near the entrance as it was too big and the market too small and it took up space, casting darkness no one could see The difference between an apple and an orange. his shadow had blended with the wall, and this worried the man only the dead casts no shadow; had he died when doing shopping. The man, numb in fear should call an ambulance or better still, a hearse. The shadow tore itself off the wall seeing the man’s distress, and joined him on the walk back home.
