There is a young woman in our family who whenever she is coming over I lock up my valuables. I love her very much but she can't be trusted in a room where she is alone. She is hurt and very angry all the time because certain members of the family will have nothing to do with her but she has burned more bridges behind her than she can count.
They say there are some people,
Who only a mother could love;
People who lie and cheat and steal,
At length folks will say That's Enough.
Real friends won't steal from each other.
Their families can trust them too.
If you have one ounce of dignity,
Stealing just isn't you;
And you can steal more than mere money,
Possessions, material things,
You can steal a reputation.
Without that you haven't a thing.
A good reputation's important,
If we're to have quality of life.
If you can't hold your head up wherever you go,
It cuts through your heart like a knife.
So speak ill of no one no matter what,
And mind your own business my friend.
Keep your hands off that which is not yours,
And you'll have more friends in the end.
Who wants to hide all their things from you?
When you come all you bring is grief;
For when all's said and done a gossip is hated,
And nobody likes a thief.
