when you let go of my hand you let go of my heart as I stumbled and crumbled life seemed to have paused silent screams raged inside but I was just numb heart beating in slow motion life became strange and i thought it would make sense when the pain subsided but there is no limit to how long we grieve and they say don't let them in those crazy thoughts but they echoed and echoed until i lost my mind and its worse when alone haunted by profound whispers and all I wanted was an angel to find me to not give up on me but nothing and now ive lost all faith in humanity and still im alone but now drifitng to a place i don't want to be yearning for oxygen and no one can catch me because when you let go of my hand you let go of my heart Simple Musings Silent One 15 September 2017

I love the deep emotions you conveyed, penetrating the heart's core. Grief lingers on long after a loved one is gone. Nicely done!

You have beautifully described epic pain and sorrow of having lost a loved one my friend. A process, that most oft only time and greater light lessens. I relate to this one , as I still seek that light.. STILL SEARCH... same as I still seek to touch my mother's hand and kiss her face....... A FAV...

Wonderful write straight to my heart. S**t happens, my dear #1. You will have good days and bad days like the rest of us who "loved and lost". It's a hard road to travel but someday..."IT" will hit you and you will love again. It's in the stars.

Oh, my gosh. Did your heart take up residence next to mine last night when I was remembering, grieving, letting the emotions come back one more time? So beautifully written, Silent One. I'm sure this poem has a universal appeal for all of us have lost someone and still cling to the memories. Amazing.

Beautiful poem read from you my dear lovely friend. Nothing is permanent, everything changes in time, that is our fate of human beings. You have expressed a nice concept about what is going on. Loved always my lovely dear friend, bl

While grief may either subside or intensify with time, there is simply no limit to how long we grieve. My friend, I am almost at a loss for words - this is such an incredible write! You continue to amaze and inspire me! Love and hugs. Pandita

I really like this one, Silent ONe. The way you ended it was very well done. Nothing worse than a poem that does not end the right way!

There will come a day when our tears will be gone, and we won't grieve any longer. But until that day, as long as we have breath in us, we grieve for lost love. I think it's impossible. Your words grab my heartstrings, my sweet friend.

Loss is not easy to cope with, and when we think that we're over the hill, there it appears again. The opening and closing lines are very effective. Regards // paul

Heartbreaking. The line: "when you let go of my hand you let go of my heart." is especially poignant. A feeling whose imprint on our heart is eternal. Beautifully sad writing with a tenderness that is exquisitely conveyed. a fave

This is so very true, I have struggled with this...I just don't forget,,,maybe because in some of my worst losses in life I have found some of the deepest love and lessons that brought me growth, and those reminders brought me to be more loving n sensitive to the next,,,I think there's always a reason, a bigger picture in the process

Simple Musings these? More like Profound Amazing Musings I would think. A somewhat tragic and painful experience that you have described so well here, you have the readers hurting with you. You have an extraordinary talent.I think that this would make an excellent song. A fave with me....Maria

There is nothing more I can say. It is 10 years on Thanksgiving day (Canadian) and there is a place in my heart forever locked into grief. The edges have worn away but it is with me still. Your poem has described the feelings well.
