No Anchor For Rancor

When the lights of evening dusk have eluded me long enough
I shall not walk through the hallways of death
with resentment at my side
nor shall I hold any grudges against my fiends and
family members
When the sun in faded gold retrieves above the ocean
I shan't use force to make it stay, I will let it go
and if the good Lord hulls me in like he did
with Peter, I will not anchor my ship in deep waters of rancor,
for I know that for every dying sunset there is a brand new sunrise.

I won't waste time on pity nor greed,
I will happily be hulled
and when I'm finally finished cruising the world,
I will let go of that mast that I have grown so fond of,
and join the seagulls in the sky.

"and when I'm finally finished cruising the world, I will let go of that mast that I have grown so fond of, and join the seagulls in the sky." -- lesser ego is a heavy anchor. Love this poetry and great advice. Blessings my friend.

We need to learn that letting go, is also a form of love, the greatest acrobatic act of caring. Let us live safe in the knowledge that if we abandon ourselves like children in God's hands, no matter what the age, he will cradle us, always, Vie

The very thought of dispensing all that troubles and weighs us down and entrusting oneself to the hands of God and waiting to soar high like the seagulls is wonderful. Beautiful poem expressing what should happen after finishing the cruise in this world. All the Best dear friend.

Left in God's hands, there are nights, days that I cry crazily asking God to end all the misery! The sun shines and a beautiful day starts again. A genuine you , I would love to join the seagulls in the sky! :) Hugs

Oh, Rose, your verse is truly magnificent. The act of relinquishing all that is unfavorable and entrusting it to divine providence is an arduous task indeed. Thanks for your comment on my poem.

Great verse, to release everything not good and leave it in the Lords hands. It is so hard to do at times.

I agree with you Eve there are days when we wish the Lord would do something and quick, lol, still, we persevere, if we didn't have Faith, we'd have nothing worth calling to, hope your keeping well, sending love, and hugs, xo
