Nightlife Is Dead

The streetlight spread
like an abandoned strip
old hot spots deserted
with no moths no buzz zip
the party is over
nightlife is dead.

You're the only person I know that could use three words and make me feel 30 emotions. Love this one Mo!

I can see multiple meanings here. They are all expressed so well.. in such few words. Perfect, as always!

Towns & cities, as people do, also die. Yet some have better epitaphs -- in spite of human frailty ( sin). Shalom shalom in His word/ Bible, never by way of OPINIONS of men/ preachers, priests, pangender.

Maureen? Do I detect sexual references in this poem, or am I being too conservative? The imagery is like from out of a Hopper painting... Wow!!!

Sure seems that way here. Nights used to be lively and fun...

Very evocative of the empty quiet streets in the dead of night, you say much with few words~
