Night Starts
NIGHT STARTS
Night starts
as the clock strikes
nine for all dreamy hearts,
and he dressed in black announces
darkness with a trumpet nobody played
for lovers awaiting surprises;
misty sky, hiding the pretty stars,
make each cloud disappear
and let dreamers
still sigh!
