Night Reasoning

I reason with the dark of the night In the blackness, without sight Be good to me, no nightmares, only rest No thoughts to wake, that I will detest Ease the pain that claws inside of me From places in my deepest memory Ease the pain that takes over my body Lasting a long time, from past injury Be good to me, so that I can sleep Bring me healing so that I may reap I reason with the dark of the night As if it listens to my past inner fight I fall into quietness of my sleep, I ponder About the dreams, I may now wander Heidi Sands 8/16/17

This is such a wonderful write my friend! I love the night, it's one of my favorite times, the peacefulness and the tranquility! But I experience it in the early morning hours as I'm a very early morning person, early to bed...early to rise! I get up at 4:30 every morning! I really enjoyed your tremendous poem this morning! My favorite lines have to be, "ease the pain that claws inside me/From places in my deepest memory," awesome lines! Great Work!!

Hi Russell. I do see you are up early this morning, as I am too and it is still dark. Very quiet and peaceful. I am happy you enjoyed this and appreciate your feedback on that line! Thank you so much :)

Yes, it is easy to have a lot on the mind at night, when trying to go to sleep. Thank you for your comment Tim :)
