Night Reasoning
I reason with the dark of the night
In the blackness, without sight
Be good to me, no nightmares, only rest
No thoughts to wake, that I will detest
Ease the pain that claws inside of me
From places in my deepest memory
Ease the pain that takes over my body
Lasting a long time, from past injury
Be good to me, so that I can sleep
Bring me healing so that I may reap
I reason with the dark of the night
As if it listens to my past inner fight
I fall into quietness of my sleep, I ponder
About the dreams, I may now wander
