Night From the Past

My soul lingers in a night from the past To measure the pain in the time I own The enduring moment in my mind will last Its passion's rhythm from a saxophone A memory held like a precious jewel A sun which rose on yesterday's caress A fleeting glimpse when love played a fool When hearts tore with nothing more to confess My mind holds to the memory I seek Found in the echo which is always heard When time is silent and memories speak As music cries from notes that have no word How clear I see a night so long ago Burned in my mind by its eternal glow 2/21/15

A sonnet with good mechanics is tough to write. You have done well with this. It is even romantic, dwelling on an experience from the past.
