The very air is crunchy
As leaves rustling
Beneath heavy feet
Pondering the shades
Scarlet, gold and tangerine
Inspirational hues
Breathing prayers through
The promises of
October – autumn truths
Bared on the souls
Of mountain crests
Who praise the Creator
Unfolding their muse
With wise and warm strokes
Of a laughing rain
Showering the thirsty hearts
Who pray for the sunshine
Kissing, caressing
Falling upon the naked wishes
Of those who listen
To hopes and dreams, psalms
Full of light and love
Life in blushing rays of wisdom
Humbling even the trees
Whose limbs, stark naked
With need for the repose taken
In the autumn slumber
When everywhere there is
Faith that dispels all doubt
A light that never goes out
This is trust from a soul
Who knows that grace abides
On the eventide of Autumn
