NAMELESS

They shall remain nameless For time has stolen much Worn away the glow of life Frayed and faded a past I know them briefly In the passing of a bus A song passing on the wind The smell of …”whatever that is” I know the face He played second base We laughed a lot He will remain nameless I savor the memories Linger with the thoughts For I knew them well Yet, now, they remain nameless

I love the unfinished thought aspect of this - recalling a memory caught by a glimpse or a smell and acknowledging it but not chasing it down. A restful approach to thoughts that drift in and drift out. I enjoyed it. It feels part of a trilogy of Paul's photograph and my paper dolls (whatever title I gave it) in a way. Probably because I just read them haha but hopefully because there's a shared vibe though differently expressed

The names are unimportant when you get to this point, John. All that matters is you're still here:).
