When I'm facing a conundrum I plea
The stars way above in lofty skies
Alone at the dock overlook the sea
Till it vibrates with life before my eyes
Ripples of the sea glitter with delight
A sailboat drifts idling through the evening
Radiant under bright beams of moonlight
In perfect dreams would have us believing
Swear I see mermaids frolicking about
I hear sweet laughter off into the distance
They're sent as guides, of that I have no doubt
To show me paths, not all of least resistance
Faith in the universe, never frightened
Calm, I walk away feeling enlightened
