My Window View
Listen to poem:
The tree outside the office window waving at me.
Come outside don't stay in there another day.
If only it was waving goodbye for today.
As the late shift arrives to start their day.
Dog walkers being taken for a walk by eager hounds.
Birds flying by and squirrels run along the ground.
More rabbits than watership down
but only when the workers have gone to ground.
Leaves turning from green to yellow
as autumn changes my window view more mellow.
A thrush and a crow share a tree strange bed fellows.
As I look out on my autumnal window view .
