My Two Biggest Fears

I have an abnormal fear of pink typewriter keys. I have never seen them, but I have dreamt of them, and they are terrifying. They type ballets, and love poems, and mushy, lacy, dreamy, girly stuff. When they are not typing, they are chasing me across fields of Barbie dolls Dressed in plumes, polka dots, and plaids. I also have an abnormal fear of Ken dolls. They terrify me; with their weird stiff hands, and their glass eyed stares. They look unnatural and un-normal, I used to have one and I could barely sleep. Thinking of him under the bed in the brown shoe box, thinking of ways to murder me. Ken, kick, kilt, kill, right? Pink typewriter keys and Ken dolls. My worst nightmares.

What an imagination you have, Caren! What do you drink before writing a poem? Joking, of course. I tried to call up Wm. Clark's poem but ha no success. Am I doing something wrong? / M

You are fine. Thanks for trying. No. I am sure you do nothing wrong. I do not drink anything entertainingly fun any more, for it makes me sicker than a dog at night. Sicker than a sickly sick dog. Ha!

I could handle the Barbies; it's the baby dolls that freaked me out as a kid. Maybe I watched too many scary movies but, they're just creepy. I had stuffed animals at my tea parties. Okay, maybe those Ken hands with their fingers together like that; a bit freaky.

The Ken doll hands are weirdly hard and mean-looking.
