My Trip To Heaven

So, I took a trip to Heaven, But I took the trip in my mind. I wanted to see what it was like, To leave you all behind. When I arrived at the gates, I could see the streets of gold…. I could see the mansions all side by side, Such a thrilling sight to behold. I fell to my knees in awe, And couldn’t say a thing, I was in such a state of shock, That I didn’t hear the bells ring. The gates began to open, And my eyes grew filled with tears, I was in the presence of the Lord…. Someone I worshipped for years and years…. He approached me with a smile, And wiped my soul free of sin, He gave me a hug, and said “Well done, My good and faithful servant. Come on in.” I cried tears of joy, As I walked by His side, I had only done the best I could on earth, And He knew that I had tried. He showed me around, and I saw so much. And yet, I was still amazed…. That I was cleansed by His touch. He took me to my grandmother…. He took me to my grandfather…. My sister-in-law…. My auntie….. Even my guinea pig and my rabbit…. I was stunned and I was thrilled…. I had no idea how beautiful Heaven was…. All I know is…. It makes me want to get there even more.
