My Sweet Valentine

She was my sweet valentine... Thirty-five years wedded; we shared our lives, Walking through the best and worst of times. Comes the time when only one survives The other left to journey on alone, Only memories of happier days remain. Now that she is gone, I smile Remembering, reliving each special day Together. As always, I purchase a valentine... Place it beside a single red rose in a vase Spend a few moments gazing on her face. She was my sweet valentine.

We were married for 35 years. She was my life, my inspiration, and my reason to live. She still is!

Heartfelt and sensitive tribute to your marriage. Well penned and well told. Everyone has empathy, we all hope we'd have the balance and skill to handle a situation like this in our own lives. Wonderful bit of teaching.
