My Silent Cry
The tears fall without landing
they come from within...a sadder truth
held by my exhausted heart, alone and confused
searching for answers, not knowing the right questions
as I stumble through my mind
wanting dreams that once flourished to appear again
finding instead an empty desert of dark gray
where I'm wrapped in the trappings of sadness
that flutter around me
from the cold winds of torment
which cause me to lay down...listen
to the blue music pouring through my soul
and embrace the rise of loneliness
as it washes over me with the first note
from a sad violin
