My Road To Perdition
It seems that I...have found myself,
So lost...so sad...so afraid,
Too scared to try and start again,
Lest I repeat the mistakes I've made.
I dread the thought of waking up,
With no direction or hope inside,
I've not the courage...nor the strength,
And nobody in which to confide.
If only I...could have been,
A better husband and Dad,
Now I merely take up space,
Lamenting the life I had.
I blame no one...I wish I could,
I felt no impending doom,
I simply lost...my family to,
A screen name in a chat room.
I can only guess...she wanted to hear,
Dreams of a better life,
May I take this time...to apologize,
To my wonderful son and wife.
