My Precious Love
My precious love,
Can you believe we’ve lasted
almost half a century?
We’ve become that couple
that I used to look at in my youth
with wonder.
Golden anniversaries back then
seemed eons away for you and me!
Oh, we wed so young.
Many hardships we endured,
but good times too have found us.
Mere words cannot convey
what years of partnership bestowed on us.
So may I simply say again on this special Day . . .
I love you.
