A Little Memory Of Days Gone By~A Childhood I Keep Forever Inside

Today I was walking barefooted, After a heavy thunderstorm had passed thru, I was wearing a beautiful white cotton dress. I suddenly stumbled upon a puddle, A beautiful muddy puddle, I was instantly drawn to its diameter and mysterious depths. The top of the puddle was lying still, ever so slightly rippling beneath reflections from the sun, The sun peeking over my shoulder, while whispering..."go for it" The birds were singing after the sudden down pour, I swear a mocking bird was yelling at me... "just do it" It was so tempting for me...I tell you...It was tempting me. Should I? I Immediately thought of my youth and my old muddy yellow boots, and of all the times I tempted fate and took that leap into the unknown depths of muddum, and sometimes my bare feet got involved. Not a second thought, did I give on the matter, as a youth your unable to ponder for too long, while riding on the shirttails of sheer excitement. My clothing soon became decorated, in mud dots and whatnots, matching my freckled face. I rather enjoyed the splashes of mud, made from the earth, and the fresh rain, and the way my mother looked at me as I entered her newly cleaned kitchen floor, and when she asked "what have you been up to, your filthy! and my floor!" However, I was a grown up now, and we as grown ups don't do such childish things...right? Yeah, Ok..Splash...now, let's go make some beautiful mud pies! The birds all sang..."we'll help!"...They're such Instigators!
