My Pearl

Your waves have entered the shore Lapping upon this sand Smoothing our foot prints away None shall see this walk we have taken Disappearing from sight our old walk of life Our shells buried deep, Wrapped together in seaweed huddled together not wanting to go Back out to sea A white pearl glistening inside of you As bright as the moonlit night holding you as tight, as a clam My arms wrapped around you Your beauty so bright others Will try to pry you away Taking you back out to sea But, You are trapped among the rocks While holding you tight next to me Placing you deeper into the sand So, no one will steal this pearl from me
